Why buy a TLD? by Scott Campbell

One of the many things I find really annoying is electrical/plumbing/joinery companies using free email accounts like Hotmail, gMail and worst of all, AOL.

I think that a free email address gives off a kind of weconyou@aol.com kind of sense, whereas info@jmfelectronics.com sounds much nicer and more professional than it’s free alternative.

Remember, however, that if you do buy a domain, always make a website, don’t just use it for email.

And for goodness sake, if you can’t afford one or don’t know how to make a website, shoot me an email…

The first of the Pantin hotels, the Ellington, founded by David Pantin, is going to have some pretty awesome technology.

Guests at the Leeds hotel will be treated to an entertainment centre including a plasma screen, satellite television, DVD and CD player, iPod docking station and even speakers in the bathroom. The entertainment centre is capable of playing Xbox 360, Wii and PS3, all of which will be available to guests. There will also be complimentary Wi-Fi and plug-in laptop access in every room and three digital phones, one by the bedside, one on the desk and one in the bathroom.

The staff are going to be using VOIP phones over the hotel’s wireless network; at a saving of £20,000.

I was talking to Nathan on the phone today and he told me that his laptop was quite slow…

Here is how the conversation went…

Nathan: My laptop is slow.

Scott: Just think, they don’t have laptops in Africa.

Nathan: Actually, yes they do.

I completely forgot about the new scheme where countries send laptops to third world countries… Doh!

A quick note just too say that we are not enthusiasts of spamming. We just think that people ought too know about the variety of websites that feature on the world wide web. We understand that people can be annoyed at these kind of things that fill up our mailboxes. We will be starting a forum soon, with this same controversial topic.

Skype: Don’t Accept People Wanting To Use It by TheTalkativeOne

From experience i have now realised that i shouldn’t have accepted something that came through the minute i signed into my skype. It said that a company i had recognized wanted too use my skype (a very big mistake. a very good forgery). When i accepted it my skype immediatly shut down and i had too re-install it. So just a warning too the readers not too accept these “helpers” as they do the exact opposite.

Comment if this has happened to you or has helped . Thanks 😀
