Time has marched on, but Yahoo's security code remains hard to read (for me at least). After years of absence I attempted to log into my old Yahoo accounts, but the passwords no longer worked. They closed out my 1999 account but allowed me to retrieve a new password for my 2004 account (no Yahoo mail yet). To get a readable captcha required refreshing the page many times.

I would like to point out that the security code is to prove that you are not in fact a 'bot' (automated program) that is out to create hundreds of accounts - to jam up Yahoo!'s server.
